Duty of disclosure

Getting life insurance is serious stuff.

Our role as insurance specialists is to make sure you get the right cover, and if something happens, your claim gets paid.

To do this, we need to get your application right.

You must be open and honest when answering all the questions your insurer will ask.

You have a legal obligation to do so, it’s called your ‘Duty of Disclosure’.

If you fail to disclose matters that the insurer later (in a claim assessment) finds to be significant, they may reasonably avoid paying your claim.

This short video will explain what your obligations are when you apply for insurance.
